Directions

Don’t you always hate it when you get directions but they’re not quite right and you end up miles off course? We’ve all been there.

At Community Baptist we want you to be able to get you to church as easily as possible and we hope this information helps.

IN THE CAR

Getting here by car is simple as we are located just minutes away from major local routes and the motorway network.

From the M60 / M62: Exit at Junction 17 (Whitefield/Prestwich). Take the A56 Bury New Road heading north towards Bury. Turn right onto Moss Lane, which connects directly onto Parr Lane. Unsworth Academy will be on your right-hand side just after the local shops.
From the M66: Exit at Junction 3 (Pilsworth) and head west along Pilsworth Road towards Hollins/Unsworth. At the mini roundabout, turn left onto Hollins Lane. Follow this road as it becomes Parr Lane. Unsworth Academy will appear on your left-hand side, just before the local shops.
From Bury Town Centre: Take Manchester Road (A56) south. Turn left onto Sunny Bank Road, then left onto Parr Lane. The academy is located just on your right.
Parking: Free visitor parking is available on-site within the main academy car park including accessible parking.

The church is highly accessible via local bus networks, with stops located right outside the school gates.

Bus Routes: The 94, 95, and 97 Bee Network buses pass directly through Unsworth.
Where to get off: Ask for the Parr Lane / Unsworth Academy bus stop.
Connections: The 97 bus runs regularly every day directly between Bury Interchange and Manchester Shudehill, making it simple to connect from surrounding areas.

While there is no Metrolink station in Unsworth itself, you can easily combine a tram journey with a quick bus ride or walk.

Nearest Station: Whitefield Metrolink Station (on the Bury to Manchester line).
Onward Journey: From Whitefield station, you can catch the local 95 bus or a taxi directly to Parr Lane/Sunny Bank Road. Alternatively, it is a flat, straightforward 25-30 minute walk down Stanley Road and Moss Lane onto Parr Lane.

If you live locally in Unsworth, Hollins, or Sunny Bank, walking to the church is a great option.

Finding the Entrance: Unsworth Academy is situated right on Parr Lane, close to the local shops in the centre of Unsworth.
Pedestrian Access: Safe, paved footpaths line both sides of Parr Lane. Please enter through the main pedestrian gates of the academy and follow the signs toward the main entrance doors.
