The Cowboys are coming
As many of you are aware, Pastor Alan will be hanging up his boots shortly to take a well earned retirement. He’s served Community Baptist Church faithfully since it’s inception over 20+ years ago and we’ve been immensely blessed by his unending commitment, his teaching and his love for the Church throughout the years.
We’re so thankful as a Church to have been enriched by his and Maureen’s faithfulness and we pray that Pastor Alan will be reinvigorated to serve in whatever capacity the Lord see’s fit in the future.
As Pastor Alan hangs up his boots, we’ve got some new boots heading into town. These boots are of the cowboy variety with some red, white and blue stirrups attached.
We’re pleased to announce that Michael and Cristy Wyatt, BBFI missionaries from Texas will be taking over the pastorship of the church from January 2025. Michael and Cristy were previously missionaries to Japan, but the Lord has led them to England and we’re blessed to have them take over the reins as we step into a new year. We look forward, as a Church, to everything that the Lord has in store for us.
It’s been a lengthy process for the Church to become a CIO, to gain its sponsor license and for Michael and Cristy to gain the necessary visas. God has been gracious though throughout and thankfully that process is now largely complete.
We’re thankful for all the individuals within the church who have worked so tirelessly towards the changes that have been happening. It’s been a blessing to see God work each aspect out for His Glory.
So as Michael saddles up for his new role, please keep him and Cristy in your prayers. There are still lots of things to sort out over the coming weeks, but we pray God will continue to bless and direct.
