Only One Way

How do I answer a colleague that says “Well, Christianity is OK for you if that’s what you want to believe. However I don’t believe in religion. There are many belief systems”

That’s the pitfall of free choice. Your colleague can choose to believe or not and they are right – there are many belief systems.

However, Christianity is not a religion, it is God’s prescribed way to enter into a relationship with Him. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me …….. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him” John 14:6, 6:44

Salvation is a work of God and God works through His Word and prayer. Our job is to proclaim the simple truth that Jesus died for our sins, rose again, and offers eternal life to anyone willing to accept His atoning work:

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us” 2 Corinthians 5:20

Even though we are still in the middle of the pandemic it doesn’t change the fact that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. It also doesn’t stop our ability to communicate God’s grace and love to a lost and dying world.

Whenever the opportunity arises, be conscious of the great commission and our need to be ambassadors for Christ. Share the Gospel message not only with colleagues, but also neighbours, families and friends.

The world would like us to believe otherwise, but as the Bible clearly teaches, there is Only One Way to God.
