Services Suspended

For the first time ever, due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we are temporarily suspending all regular weekly services at The Longfield Centre and our midweek house group.

We know this is incredibly unfortunate but due to the ongoing rise in cases and the likelihood of lockdowns over the coming weeks it has become apparent that changes needed to be made.

Countries across Europe are restricting travel, stopping gatherings and quarantining residents and based on the latest news reports this is likely to happen in the UK over the space of the next couple of weeks.

Our Sunday morning service on 15 March was our last regular service for the foreseeable future at The Longfield Centre. However, we pray that this situation will only be temporary and we can be back up and running as soon as possible.

Just because our normal services have been suspended, doesn’t mean Community Baptist is suspended. Pastor will be doing weekly updates. We’ve also got hundreds of existing messages that are available online for church members and regular attendees to view via YouTube.

Pastor is available to be contacted throughout the outbreak and intends to give regular communication via email, text and other channels. He’s also, as always, available via the phone at any time of the week. Please make sure Pastor has your latest contact details so that you can be included in our distribution lists.

Our website and Facebook pages will be monitored and updated in the normal manner. Please keep your eyes peeled for any changes.

We know this situation isn’t ideal but our God hasn’t changed and our Salvation in Christ is secure if we’ve put our trust and faith in Him as our Saviour. Remember Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
