Welcome to 2018

Community Baptist Church would just like to wish its members and the wider community of Prestwich and Whitefield a Happy New Year.

We all know that we live in a volatile and insecure world, where travesty and anxiety are never far away. In the book of Malachi 3:6 it says “For I am the Lord, I change not.” When so many things around us are constantly in a state of flux, it’s always worth being reminded that our God is eternal and never changing. We are thankful as a church that He is our rock and a foundation built on Christ will never fail. Even if we struggle with our faith, He remains faithful.

We’ve no idea what God has planned for us this coming year, but we pray that He will have His hand of blessing on our church in 2018. We pray that more members of the local community and the wider Bury area will take part in our services this year.  It’s a blessing to be able to worship the Lord and serve Him in the Prestwich and Whitefield areas of Manchester.

We will leave you with a little scripture which should be incredibly uplifting for 2018. Remember that no one can ever pluck a Christian from the hand of Jesus. We’re safe and secure in His arms. We may have our ups and downs, life can be very tough at times and seem almost rudderless, but He’s always there and He never fails us.

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.John 10:28-30
